Road Trip – Europe

Come to explore the heart of Europe with the Eurotrip!

We would have an exchange in The Netherlands, where you will get to live with a host family just outside of Amsterdam. We would explore their culture and visit their country.
From there we will visit some of the neighbours countries (France, Luxemburg, Belgium or Germany). We will build the trip together with the students, so they will have a big say on where to go!
This trip will focus on the culture of the central European countries and in our students to create a connexion with out Dutch friendship school´s pupils. This school will come and visit us in week 6 so our students will get to know them before we travel to the Netherlands.

We would go to:

It would be during week 11 or 12.

A Dutch friendship school will visit us in week 6 with 25 students. We would like a system of buddies. The goal of this exchange is to get to know better Dutch culture and strength European connections.

Some of the activities they propose:

• cycling through the tulip fields in Haarlem
• visiting the Rijksmuseum
• Van Gogh Museum
• taking part in a city treasure hunt in Amsterdam
• Delft blue tile-making
• attending the cheese market
• stroopwafel baking (a traditional Dutch cookie)
• exploring the fishing village of Volendam.

For the rest of the trip we will decide, together with the students, the other destinations. But they would be in the area around The Netherlands. That is:

• Belgium
• France
• Luxemburg
• Germany
