Basketball

Basketball is a subject for everyone, regardless of level. The subject is divided into two parts, with a focus on both individual development and the sense of community within the team.

Throughout the year, we work on shooting technique, passing, and dribbling. In addition, understanding both man-to-man and zone defense is an important part of the learning process.

In offense, we focus on movement and other relevant plays. We also work on developing students’ overall understanding of the game and the sport.

We aim to play matches against other clubs and schools during the year. The school is also registered to participate in the North Jutland Basketball Championships.

Our P1 Basketball group will travel to Madrid, Spain, for an exciting and enriching sports experience that combines training, competition, and cultural exploration.

During the trip, students will have the opportunity to play two friendly games against local teams, allowing them to apply their skills in a real competitive environment while also experiencing a different style of play.

In addition, we will also have the opportunity to train in basketball facilities in Madrid.

Beyond basketball, an important part of the trip is to explore and enjoy the city of Madrid. During the afternoons, students will have the opportunity to discover the Spanish capital, visiting key areas, experiencing the local culture, and spending time together as a group in a different environment. This helps to strengthen relationships between students and contributes to their personal development.

There is also the possibility of attending a professional basketball game, either from the ACB league or the LEB Oro league, depending on the official schedule and availability of games in Madrid during our stay. This experience will allow students to see high-level basketball live and enjoy the atmosphere of professional sport.
