Cultural stories, winning ball players and finger-food

Dear reader,

Exaggeration begets understanding, but it's certainly no exaggeration to say we've had some terrific, unforgettable cultural studies trips. All week the students have been working on the aftermath of the cultural trips, and on Sunday we will show pictures, films and stories to families and other students. Get an impression of the many experiences - click on the picture.

And, as you can see below, we've had our hands in Indian cuisine.

At the same time, Sunday marks the transition from P2 to P3, so in the midst of looking back and reworking, it is also time to look forward to the profile subjects you have chosen.

Enjoy exploring this newsletter for yourself. It's filled with great posts.

Culture Day

We share our experiences in in-depth talks and insightful presentations about travel stories and cultural encounters around the world. It's on Sunday, and it's an event for all students and parents. There will also be the opportunity to speak to a student counsellor in the afternoon and evening.

"When the world moves"

The lecture on refugees and the migration crisis in Europe provided a review of the current situation and an informed look into the crystal ball: will it pass - or will the challenge get bigger? The lecture is part of our special focus on the UN's 17 World Goals.

Football conference

COME ON, YOU SCARY GREENS!

Last Friday the Ranum teams triumphed in indoor football. The conference was held in Løgstør, and tonight the winners are back on the field. I wonder if we can bring home another victory for the after school? We're cheering for all the teams - five tough teams are competing.

"In an inferno of deserved victories, delicious details and solid claws - where everyone fought bravely - a bunch of happy, tired students came home with nice prizes," it was reported about the returning victor boys and girls.

A talk about cultural trips

Below is a sneak preview of what's in store on Sunday. A few students talk about their experiences on the cultural trip.

Finger food lunch

At first they were sceptical. Then they burst out laughing. They were not impressed on Wednesday because the kitchen served an authentic Indian food experience. They ate with their fingers and tasted Indian cuisine.

PVA

Saturday is the last chance to submit either a photo, video or article for the competition. A lot of great entries have been received and if you would like to vote or just see the contestants, click here the facebook page here or on the picture below.

Remember signature to optagelse.dk

Many pupils are currently deciding what to do with the next years of their lives. By 1 March, parents must have submitted their signatures to optagelse.dk, where you must also remember that you must choose three priorities if you choose an upper secondary education programme. One is enough if you choose vocational training or 10th grade. If you have any questions, you can talk to a student counsellor on Sunday.

Mid-term crisis or success?

We take the temperature of after-school life and let the students have their say. We are thus embarking on a major study that looks into the students' experience of attending Ranum Efterskole College. Here are a few of the results as they stand right now.

2018 Super Bowl

Great game and Super Bowl night at Ranum, Eagles what a .. surprise, but fair.

Events next week

This week, Imagination and Friendship Days will take place from Wednesday to Thursday. The pupils will experience a different everyday life and get new experiences and meet each other in new encounters.

Next weekend is homecoming weekend (starting Thursday at 2pm), and you can get an overview of the other events below.

We wish everyone a very good weekend

Greetings all of us at

Ranum Efterskole College
