Ranum Full Host Package is our package deal for international students, who do not have any ties to- or relations in Denmark. This package includes basically everything the student may need during a year away from his/her home country and be a comfort for parents to know that their child is well cared for during their absence.
School fees for the 2027/28 academic year at Ranum Efterskole College are 43 weeks × 3,050 DKK = 131,150 DKK and includes boarding, meals, tuition, school clothing + backpack. Long weekends and holidays are not included.
The additional costs for international students for the full host package is 57,350 DKK for the academic year and includes:
- International mentor.
- Visa: assistance in relation to the ST1 application process and payment of Case Order Id Fee.
- For EU citizens – assistance with applying for an EU residence permit.
- Assistance with registering an address in Denmark.
- Health insurance: assistance in relation to applying for the Danish National Health Insurance.
- Arrival transport from Aalborg airport in relation to first day of school and departure on the last day of school.
- International book package: learners enrolled in the IGCSE programme must purchase our book package that covers syllabuses in all subjects.
- Exam fees and certificates.
- Bed linen and towels: changed every 2 weeks.
- 1 Autumn holiday package: include excursion to Copenhagen, Denmark.
- 1 Easter Holiday package: include excursion to Hamburg, Germany.
- Long weekend packages (Thursday–Sunday/Friday–Monday): may include excursions to other destinations in Denmark.
An academic year at Ranum Efterskole College, including full board and the Host package, costs 188,500 DKK / 27,000 euros. Parents are responsible for flight tickets to and from Denmark, a registration fee of 2,000 DKK, and travel and liability insurance. Please note that the three profile/cultural trips are not included, and additional expenses relating to these should be expected. The Danish National Health Insurance and the school’s business insurance cover all enrolled students whilst they are staying at the school and taking part in school activities.
Students who do not wish to go home for the Christmas holidays are welcome to sign up for our Christmas holiday package, which includes a trip abroad. The price for this is 13,000 DKK and you must sign up by 1 June at the latest.
*Please note that Case Order Id Fee/Visa is not to be confused with 'Handling Fee' - a fee charged at the Danish Embassy when processing the ST1 application.

Host Families and Holidays
The school will be closed on public holidays. International pupils on the Full Host Package are guaranteed accommodation arranged by the school for the whole year. For international pupils who have chosen not to take the Full Host Package, it is a requirement that the family or parents have made their own arrangements for a Danish contact family or host family. This Contact or Host family must be prepared to fulfil the role and obligations we would expect of biological parents. You can read more about the terms and conditions in the information booklet.

Terms & conditions in relation to termination
In relation to possible termination of the school programme and/or full host package, please note that registration fee, deposit and full host package fees are non-refundable. Possible refunds of paid tuition fees are calculated based on number of (started) weeks, albeit a cancellation fee of minimum 8000 DKK will incur. For students enrolled via third parties, other conditions may apply - these conditions will be informed by the third party.
