Culture and performance week

Dear reader,

It's December, and Christmas is slowly creeping into the school. The canteen is decorated with Christmas ornaments, spruce chains and mirror-finished baubles. The Christmas cheer and decorations are not the only thing that December brings. We've had Culture and Performance Week. It all culminates today with a Christmas market, three great performances in the community hall and lots of good and exciting food. The day also aims to showcase the arts and tell you about the journeys that go with them.

Culture and performance day

At Facebook we've tried to showcase students' assignments and community-building activities throughout the week, all of which have pointed to today, Saturday: Culture and Performance Day. The whole school has pulled together to make the day a success. It is clear to see that the students have grown closer and that they have bonded well. There has been an enormous amount of pressure, togetherness and closeness during performance week, so if some are tired and need some time alone, that is more than understandable.

During the day, we held three shows and the school was buzzing with life. The students can be proud of themselves and the parents can be proud of them.

International students meet Danish culture

International students had a slightly different week last week. The week offered them a tour of a police station, an excursion to Thylejren, a visit to the Jelling Stone and a presentation of a Danish Christmas tradition: rice pudding.

Christmas Cheer

It's as if Christmas is creeping up on us. At least, Christmas cheer is coming more and more in the evenings, Christmas trees are popping up all around, and students' rooms are full of Christmas decorations and cheer in the same theme.

DreamHack

The e-sports team has travelled to Sweden to take part in the world-famous DreamHack event. Naturally, there is great excitement and anticipation. As one of the students said before he left, "It's all the big guys coming to play."

REC Calendar 2018

The new calendar has arrived at the school. It is both a showcase for all PVA-Competition participants (mostly winners), and at the same time it contains all important days to remember in the Ranum-region. All current students receive one for free (calendar gift).

Events next week

Next week we have a normal afterschool week again, after two special weeks with OSO, project and performance days.

We wish everyone a very good weekend.

Greetings all of us at

Ranum Efterskole College
