Colour party, Teambuilding, Housecup and much more!

Dear reader,

It's Thursday and students are heading home for the long weekend. It's been a fantastic few days of learning, playing and starting up the academic, profile and activity subjects.

Intro week has been characterised by steady unstable weather with thunder, rain, wind from the west and calm, and we are also experiencing the new student team just as differently.

Colour party

Friday was all about colours and all pupils and teachers went all out dressing up in their assigned colours. You can see all the pictures here from the party, the table setting and a whole lot of portraits of all our colourful students dressed up.

Exciting Housecup - In the pouring rain - with good mood!

The weekend has brought House Cup in pouring rain, and on Sunday we had to postpone the big swimming test, and instead did a room-teambuilding day across the houses. After mixing up all the students across, the afternoon and evening was a bouncy-house party at one of the biggest bouncy houses in the country.

19 cool profile courses and 21 exciting activity courses

On Monday we started with the student's "normal" schedule and despite an unfortunate breakdown of the IT system, the students found their classrooms and teams. On Monday afternoon, all profile subject classes got off to a good start, and on Tuesday we also got the activity and PE classes underway.

Many students are certainly surprised by how hard it is to go to after-school, but they are smiling and their eyes are shining with joy and desire for more after-school life.

Online again

On Wednesday, the contact teachers handed out the students' mobile phones and instructions have been given that they may only be used outside the mobile-free zones. I.e. outside the dining room, banquet hall and classrooms. The students have been sharing numbers and networking across the school and as this team are perhaps the most competent online kids in the world, we hope we will have a great virtual community this year too.

And there's a lot happening on our social media, follow along here:

We wish everyone a good weekend and look forward to seeing you again on Sunday after 6pm.

Greetings all of us at

Ranum Efterskole College
