Are you interested in exploring Yoga and mindfulness? Then Yoga is for you.

In the profile subject yoga/pilates we work with different forms of yoga and pilates. There will be a strong focus on physical activity through various poses and stretches, but we will also immerse ourselves in breathing (pranayama), mindfulness and meditation. In Pilates, we'll do workouts with our own body weight, ankle weights, elastic bands, etc. Some classes will get your heart rate down, while other classes will make you sweat and your muscles ache.
We explore both the physical and mental aspects of yoga and Pilates. We immerse ourselves in ourselves and our own inner world - but also very much in the community and being together. We work on how we can create good routines that we can perhaps use in our lives in the future. At the same time, we also focus on sustainability and how we can take better care of the world around us together.
Often it's hard for us to look inwards and slow down in a busy life with school and friends, and this is where yoga and Pilates can help us a lot: Yoga has a positive impact on our lives and can help us live more in the present moment. Through meditation, breathing techniques, physically challenging poses and Pilates’ various exercises, you will experience greater mental energy, a stronger body in better balance, less stress and greater presence.

The trip

On the profile subject trip we are travelling to Spain, more specifically Barcelona. Here we will try different types of yoga and pilates. We'll try classes with local instructors in different centres, and we'll also bring our own yoga mats and find a spot on Barcelona's beaches or in their parks to do yoga and pilates ourselves. We'll explore nature and the city with walks around the area.
The yoga/pilates programme is for everyone, from beginners to more experienced practitioners. The most important thing is that you are open, curious and ready to challenge yourself.
