Are you interested in exploring Yoga and mindfulness? Then Yoga is for you.

In the profile subject yoga, we work with many different forms of yoga. There will be a strong focus on physical activity through various poses and stretches, but we will also immerse ourselves in breathing (pranayama), mindfulness and meditation.

We'll explore different traditions such as hatha and yin, vinyasa flow and restorative yoga, and we'll learn about the history and development of the yoga tradition. You may also learn how to stand in a headstand, and no matter what, you'll probably be physically challenged, because yoga can be tough!

In yoga, we immerse ourselves in ourselves and our own inner world - but also very much in the community and being together. We work on how we can create good routines that we can perhaps use in our lives in the future. At the same time, we also focus on sustainability and how we can take better care of the world around us together.

Often it's hard for us to look inwards and slow down in a busy life with school and friends, and this is where yoga can help us a lot: Yoga has a positive impact on our lives and can help us live more in the present moment. Through meditation, breathing techniques and physically challenging poses, you will experience greater mental energy, a stronger body in better balance, less stress and greater presence.

The trip

During the profile subject journey, we have visited Finca al Limón several times, a retreat centre in southern Spain with a focus on sustainability and immersion. Here we have the opportunity to unplug and immerse ourselves in the world of yoga while exploring the area around Malaga. The yoga programme is for everyone, from brand new yogis to more experienced practitioners. The most important thing is that you are open, curious and ready to challenge yourself.
