01 Apr The great Easter hunt
The last week of March has really shown its best side!
We've had beautiful sunshine in Ranum, the kitchen has spoilt us with a fantastic Easter tapas, Easter egg hunts have been at their peak - and the big Easter hunt has been completed.
You can also read about our new courses that we have just launched and for which enrolment has just opened.
Happy Easter holidays to everyone

My name is written in dots...
...make sure it doesn't sting.
The weekend has been all about Easter cosiness, with many of the students cutting out Easter cards and surprising each other and their teachers with quirky little greetings.
As a teacher at a efterskole with over 500 students, it can be a bit of a challenge to guess who the letter is from - but on the other hand, the chances of getting an Easter egg are even better.

Brand new course at Ranum!
We are launching a brand new course at efterskolen - and registration opens today, 01.04.26! A course perfect for those who love diving but prefer to avoid crabs, jellyfish and sharks.
Watch the video below to find out what the new course is all about:

Delicious Tuesday tapas
There are days when the kitchen makes really great food... and then there are days when they really outdo themselves!
On Tuesday, the kitchen spoilt us all with Easter tapas - we enjoyed it!

The great Easter hunt
Easter hunts are for everyone - especially those who love fishing and chocolate!
In keeping with tradition, Easter bunnies and chicks were unleashed on the school grounds, and the students' task was of course to catch them.
At the same time, they had hidden more than 1000 Easter eggs throughout the school - in bushes, on football pitches, in classrooms, in rooms, in corridors, kitchens and offices - ready to be found.
In short: the wildest Easter hunt most people will ever experience!
The winning team collected 168 Easter eggs in total - congratulations!

Headmaster's column
Dear reader,
Easter week at efterskoler is always short - but certainly not boring. Although several parents have asked their students to take time off for the family's Easter trip or to relax after the cultural travels, we find that the vast majority of both students and parents understand that the three days are also school days.
We've spent the last few days catching up and getting ready for the upcoming test period. The international exams start the week after Easter, but the students are well prepared. In the profile subjects, we have continued to work on the experiences from the cultural studies trips, and the teams are busy preparing for the Family and Culture Day on 19 April.
The week was rounded off with a fantastic, colourful Easter egg hunt that offered adrenaline, chocolate and lots of fun!
After Easter, we will start the final chapter of the 1TP5 Year. Students will choose new activity subjects for the fourth time and a final profile subject leading up to the mini-expeditions in week 22. By now, the students have a real understanding of what it means to help shape their own schedule - and creativity is flourishing.
For example, a group of boys who have been renovating the school's airsoft guns over the winter are in the process of creating a new profile subject. For many, this is their last chance to make their own mark on their subjects and everyday life before they encounter the more fixed framework of secondary education. Fortunately, the vast majority have both the desire and the courage to challenge themselves.
The weekend after Easter is Friends Weekend. Many people have asked if they can bring more than one friend - and we've said yes. It's really great to see how much people want to share the efterskole life with their friends. Guests come from both abroad and all over Denmark, which is why we use Ranum buses to and from Aarhus and Aalborg.
We wish everyone a very happy and well-deserved Easter holiday.
Yours sincerely
Olav Storm
Principal
