13 Jun The week at Ranum - from gala to gallop!
Dear all
This week, the students really got to show off their lancier training during the festive gala evening with dancing, speeches and a great atmosphere. Many have enjoyed the nature at Skagen on the last excursion of the year, while everyone has participated in the traditional Ranum Derby on the athletics track.
Happy reading!
Full Host students on a trip to Skagen
Our Full Host students have just been on their last excursion of the year - this time to beautiful Skagen. They have walked in the dunes at Råbjerg Mile, stood with one foot in each sea on the branch, visited the bunker museum and enjoyed good meals in cosy restaurants. It has been an eventful end to a school year filled with community and culture. Being a Full Host student at Ranum means living at the school all year round and not travelling home during the holidays. That's why we offer a special programme of exciting excursions, holiday offers and social activities that create a strong community and make Ranum a home away from home.

Glitz, glam and golden moments on gala night
On Thursday, this year's big gala day was celebrated at Ranum - an evening filled with speeches, dancing, delicious food and lots of party atmosphere. The students were dressed to impress, the cameras were flashing and the memories will live long after the last dance has been danced.

Derby day at full gallop
Friday was the Ranum Derby - a festive tradition where the athletics track is transformed into a race track. Students are given Derby Dollars, a fun and fictitious school currency that they can use to bet on their favourite. Of course, it's all in good fun - no real money, but lots of laughs and a great atmosphere.

Headmaster's column
Dear reader,
The gala was one of the most beautiful evenings in many years. The students really put a lot of energy into looking their best for each other to celebrate the end of the school year and the community. My speech to the students carried an important message to the many who have become much stronger during the school year - both physically and socially in their communities. In short, the message is that physical strength and mental vigour obliges you and your community to take care of each other - and especially to support and respect those who do not have the same strength or vigour. The true strength of a community lies in the responsibility and respect for each other.
The gala evening ended with launches, where chaos was replaced by the common rhythm of dance - and some improvised "choreographies".
The last two weeks will see the end of oral exams, Record Day, a student party and family pick-up day, and then in Outro week we have an exciting programme of fun and fellowship, culminating in the Dream Festival. Look forward to following along and sharing the end of a great school year.
