Under cover of preparations

Dear Reader,

Another week at Ranum Efterskole College has come and gone, and we can once again report on the events of the past week. Of course, we start where we left off last week: with Mizz Privileze!

Mizz Privileze came, saw and conquered!

The lovely Mizz Privileze stopped by Ranum on Friday afternoon, with her faboules lecture. With lipsync, dancing, costume changes and important topics, it was a more than successful lecture that really impressed the students. We thank Mizz Privileze many times for giving the lecture, and really ending our Week 6 with a bang!

A weekend trip to Ribe

The Full Host students spent the long weekend in Ribe, where they experienced Denmark's oldest city up close. The students were given a tour of the town and heard about the witches of Ribe, including some of the oldest accounts of witch burnings in Danish history.

In addition, saw the old towns, and then also tried washing real skipperlabskovs - with a little mixed opinions on this.

On the trip there, the Jelling Stone was also rounded - and Danish culture was really explored.

Tine, who was in charge of the weekend, said of her experience with the students, "It was a weekend of real Danish cosiness - and lots of hot chocolate" - and also thanks for the good order 😉

All the preparations

The week has been filled with all kinds of small and big preparations - both for the Imagination Day on Saturday, and the Prague trip on Saturday evening.

Ready for Imagination day!

Thursday and Friday have been a mini-imagination week, with profile subjects at the centre of it all. Cheerleading has been at the forefront of putting together a great routine, which will of course be showcased on Saturday, and we can already reveal that the girls are putting on quite a show. The profile subjects of dance, music, musical theatre and makeup artistry have come together to put together the musical "Take a chance" which on Saturday will run in the Festival Hall. Eyda from the musical has made the max beautiful poster which you can see below - and around the school.

The profile subject media has been working towards this particular Imagination Day throughout the profile subject period, and is filming a documentary about after-school life, which will be shown on Saturday in the cinema. Hopefully it will be finished in time, and they are busy interviewing various students and teachers at the school.

Follow us on our social media on Saturday and see how great Imagination day will be!

And even more preparations

In addition to the preparations for Imagination Day, the Prague trip has also gone through the final stages of planning, so we are ready to send 110 students and teachers on Saturday evening, after Imagination Day. A lot of work has been done to put together a great programme, including a visit to Theresienstadt, an opera tour and a city walk in the beautiful districts. We are sure that the trip will be great - and you can follow it on the Facebook page Prague - Ranum Efterskole College or our Instagram.
