Profile subject trips, Halloween & student party

Dear reader,

We're back with an overview of the last few weeks of efterskole life. We have been on profile subject trips, had autumn holidays and finally a nice start afterwards. It's great to be back and we have a lot to tell and show all of you who are following along. So let's get started, so we can send the students to a really good student party tonight.

We start, of course, with a look back at the profile subject trips. Enjoy your reading!

Profile subject trips were a big hit!

We managed to go on all trips and to bring everyone home without any cases of Corona or serious accidents or incidents on any profile subject trips. Word from the various travel teams is that it has been a pleasure to travel with the young people! It is evident that there has been a sense of relief and gratitude that they managed to get out into the world. You can read about the many trips at https://www.ranumefterskole.dk/udforskverden

Or on the various Profile subject Facebook pages. In the coming weeks, we will be following up on the trips and we encourage students to take part in the big Photo, Video, Article and Podcast competition, where there are very attractive prizes in several categories.

NB: For some of the profile subjects, the pictures are in the Facebook group "Ranum Efterskole College 21-22".

If you would like to see an overview of the photos from the profile trips, you can either choose to go to the Facebook pages linked above, visit  https://www.ranumefterskole.dk/udforskverden or our Flickr page, where we have gathered all the photos - it's a bit more manageable

Thrills and jump scares in Næsby

We love holidays, and for Halloween it has become a big tradition that we make a so-called Haunted House. It's carried by a handful of teachers who almost manage to make the experience wilder and wilder - more and more spooky - every year.

On Thursday evening, the students were sent to Næsby in buses, and they had no idea what to expect. Only that they were going for a walk in the old production school, which had been converted into an old hospital. The scenery was very much alive and it was impossible to predict what was just around the corner that might frighten them.

Halloween: we carved 125 pumpkins

Several contact groups and different teams have carved pumpkins for the big gold medal, so there are now 125 pumpkins around. They're both creative and spooky!

It was everything from a lovely week to an equally lovely autumn holiday. We hope our students have a fantastic and memorable student party tonight, and wish everyone the best of luck - especially the 50 or so parent volunteers who help make the party go wild.

All the best,

Ranum Efterskole College
