Beautiful sailing, American football and host families

Dear reader,

Welcome to another newsletter - directly from Denmark's most beautiful afterschool.

It's been a lot about exams in the last few weeks, and it's going to stay that way for a while. Fortunately, things are going really well. The students have finished the written exams and are currently preparing synopses for the oral exams in Danish. In an even luckier aspect, the weather has allowed for a lot of wonderful outdoor activities. It provides a boosting exam break to go to Klitmøller for surfing, Rønbjerg for sailing or a walk around Vilsted Lake to breathe in the heat. Students are great at finding these community activities in the middle of a turbulent exam period and taking the initiative to get something going.

You'll hear all about it in the newsletter - just below.

Undulating sunshine sailing

We have sea hoppers, optimist dinghies, mainsail, speedboats and a Matcher 37. And we're looking for a couple of 29ers to join the pack in Rønbjerg harbour. Over the week we've had several Rønbjerg getaways with lots of sun, salty winds and sailing. As one of the sailing instructors, Mick, said earlier in the week "Yet another great evening on the water. Sun, wind, surf and spray. What more can you ask for? Happy sailors!"

Help a young person with the adventure of a lifetime

We will soon have guests from the USA and we need some host families. If you would like to get to know a new culture in your own home - here is the warmest recommendation to drop by AFS Aalborg. As a host family helping a young person who is embarking on the adventure of a lifetime!

HAMRENDE hot and at least as much fun

A trip to Aalborg to train with the 89ers? On a hot summer day? With good friends? And the chance to go full throttle? It was a big and resounding yes!

We have been training with the 89ers in Aalborg ??? Really hot and just as cool! ? #ranumefterskolecollege #efterskole #efterskolelivet #89ers #aab89ers

Comrade of the Year

It's no secret that community is one of the most important things for us. Both the small communities in the houses, in the profile and cultural subjects, in the rooms, the contact groups, but also the large community of which the small communities are a part. This is one of the reasons why we celebrate the Comrade of the Year every year. "The Buddy of the Year manages to uplift the other students and create a good community at the school," describes the Rotary Club and Ranum Efterskole College itself, about the person to be the Buddy of the Year. The students' votes are invaluable and determine who the award will be given to. But the important aspect of the whole thing is that we celebrate the community and at the same time the person who has been particularly good at strengthening good comradeship, resolving conflicts and being a good friend.

? Do you know someone who is going on the adventure? ?️

Then there is still the possibility to start this summer! We greatly appreciate when the word spreads and the posters are shared
- will you lend a hand in sharing the lookup?

Events next week

On Sunday the 27th, the pupils starting at Ranum next year will meet each other for the first time. It is one of the biggest and busiest days of the year. We look forward to welcoming all the new students and families! In addition, on Wednesday next week, we will announce the winner of the last PVA competition - who will run away with the last 500 notes and the coveted Go Pro? We'll find out soon! And then we'll be in the mood for photography when the school photographer visits us on Thursday. New portraits will be taken for the blue book.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend

Greetings all of us at

Ranum Efterskole College
