09 May Travel videos, exams and sunshine
Dear reader,
You will receive the newsletter today because most people are going home for the weekend already today. Probably with hopes of a stable weather forecast in mind. But who doesn't?
Here is this week's newsletter from Ranum Efterskole College. It's mostly about the weather.
Examiners
The country's schools are in academic celebration at the moment. Of course, we are also here in Ranum. The written exams are almost over now, and with exceptionally few printer problems, we have got through them really well. Of course, we hope that the oral exams will go just as well.
In the next few days there are international written exams in Global Perspectives and Combined Science. So it is our AS and IGCSE students who are about to start their final written exams.
Surf in Klitmøller ??
The waves broke perfectly and the sun was bright when some surfers from REC went to Klitmøller. It was actually five students who initiated the trip themselves. And it resulted in 20 students having an excellent trip. It's super cool to see the students taking responsibility and initiative themselves. It also means that the students have come to a point where they are doing something themselves, and doing something good for others. It's right in the Ranum spirit, so well done to the surf team!
Cold Hawaii / Klitmøller is only an hour away by after-school bus, so Surf leaves as soon as they can get to it. We think we're a bit lucky ourselves to be so close to a surfing paradise!

PVA competition: Videos
After each period of travelling around the world, we collect photos, videos and stories. We do this by holding a competition where students submit their best experiences in the form of photos, videos and articles.
NOW we come to the release of the videos. In fact, right this minute. And we just have to lie flat on the ground and say: Wow, the videos are good this time. You can really see how many have evolved and really made an effort. Huge praise and pat on the back to all the filmmakers and producers! Stay tuned to find out when the PVA Competition Awards show will be announced.

Events next week
Fingers crossed that next week will again provide us with plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities, lessons on the grass and lunch outside by the benches. Next week we will finalise the Blue Book, which started this week. The contact groups are responsible for writing a page with answers to different questions for each student. Next week we will be visited by a photographer who will take photos of the pupils for the Blue Book. And then a contact group photo will be taken.
In addition, the written exam period for general students comes to an end - and then, of course, it's time to look forward to the oral ones.
