Tandem jumping, you want me and national volleyball match

Dear reader,

So the 2nd last week is coming to an end and Saturday the 24th is approaching. But before that comes the outro week, where there is a teacher revue, House cup, football match between students and teachers, Big Pizza night and the long awaited gala. This week, however, has not been quiet either. We have spent time in the air doing tandem jumps, one of our students has published a book, football match against Haubro and then we have had visits from the USA and also Udsikten from Sweden, which ended in a "volleyball national team match". And just yesterday a sunshine story with a sweet gala rehearsal 🙂

Cheer with balloons and flags

In one week there's a gala! Some have been out for a loooong time and have had a gala partner for a long time. Others take a little more time to do things. Armer had taken better time, found the horse, coordinated with friends and got ready for the big event. He arrived riding a horse, while a whole bunch of girls had lined up with flags and balloons so he could ask Vita to the gala.

We reach higher than anyone else

This weekend, our students had the opportunity to get out and jump. Not out of the closet, but out of an airplane. Luckily with a parachute and everyone came down safely albeit quickly. Down with an amazing experience. The experience of 30 seconds of free fall is nightmarish, life-enhancing and comfort zone-expanding. The essence of now

"My afterschool year" by Amalie Sofie Tobar

Our current student, Amalie Sofie, has written the book "My afterschool year" in collaboration with Pia Mandalis - we think it's pretty cool. The book is full of creative features and essays, and allows you to personalise the book with your own afterschool year. The book is available in bookstores and online and was published on 13. June.

Football

The day of the long-awaited football match against the local and arch-rivals from HU in Haubro had finally arrived, and the afternoon therefore offered a feast of two windy and sweaty football matches for boys and girls respectively. The boys won in convincing style with 6-0, while the girls had to see themselves defeated with 4-0 by a very well performing girls team from HU, who had a Nordjysk Championship with them in the baggage. 6-4 overall must be said to be very acceptable and a good result to warm up in the insistent summer cold.

Volleyball match - Denmark - Norway/Sweden 0-2

A strong Nordic "national team" flanked by a handful of short-cropped Norwegians and Swedes won tonight's volleyball international match at Kærhuset 2-0. The match was a close and intense affair with many good duels and leads for both sides - before the hospitable hosts from REC had to lay down their arms and give the happy visitors both victory and prize.

The View

We have had good visitors from Sweden. Erik Westling writes: We are a Scandinavian high school from Ed in Sweden. The students are studying to become outdoor guides and now we are visiting your school to try your activities. We will be here Monday to Friday and try surfing in klittmöller, Mtb in Fjerritslev, sailing and diving and plunging. This is done as an exchange, so your students will come to us in October to experience activities in the Swedish nature in the subject adventure.

Visit from USA

We got a little surprise when two students from our friendship school The Harvey School in the USA came to visit. The two students had just finished school and had decided to spend some of their holiday visiting us here at Ranum Efterskole. Very good, albeit short, reunion - and a testament to how friendships around the world are made on our travels.

We look forward to next week's exciting activities and hope for good weather for the outrougen 🙂 Best regards and have a nice weekend

We wish you a great weekend 🙂
