Newsletter of 17 February 2012

Dear reader!
It has been a super active week with both OSO and project presentations, as well as presentations of travel experiences on the profile subject expeditions to India, Nepal, Ghana, Miami and the Nordic countries in the evening. On top of this programme, a final has been held in Hell's Kitchen, and the horse girls have been on a course at Stald Rønbjerg. Today we have held school-home interviews and the pupils have presented the profile subject expeditions to the parents who had the opportunity to attend. We will repeat the course several times during the spring, and the next time is on 15 March, where we also have a charity event with dinner followed by student stories from the Nepal, Ghana and India trips.

Hell's kitchen was a great success, with the students working hard for several days in two teams to prepare and execute a complete restaurant concept. The menu included a shrimp cocktail shaped like the tree of life and a slow-roasted sirloin menu, beautifully presented and professionally served. Guests invited to the Valentin restaurant on Tuesday were greeted with red roses, romantic music and a romantically decorated restaurant. The Thursday team had decorated the dining room in a spring theme with light green spring colours and the menu, the service and the theme all came together. The Thursday team won the Hell's Kitchen competition, mainly due to their exemplary teamwork and communication.

Socially, it has been a really nice week and one of the highlights was an OSO project where 2 pupils made 100 T-shirts with special "art prints". The cool and beautiful T-shirts were sold at a great auction after a terrific fashion show with catwalk in the ballroom. The proceeds will go to the next student party, which will be held on 16 March according to the student party committee.

Pedagogical the week has generally been very good, and the positive energy has filled the school with smiles. Unfortunately, we had to withdraw 2 of the boys who had been given a chance after the party. Unfortunately, on Monday they already exceeded the limit that we had agreed to in order to continue the cooperation. We also said goodbye to a pupil who broke the school's rules on smoking cannabis. Today we held open dialogue meetings with the parents present and received recognition for the educational process and an acceptance that there must also be an edge in the consideration of the other pupils.

Maydik.com Tshirt auction a live OSO project.

In the coming week
there is a winter holiday and the school office is closed all week.
We open again on Sunday 26.2 at 17. And the office again on Monday 27.2 at 10 am. We are very much looking forward to seeing the students again, and we are starting an exciting new profile period.

Monday evening week 9 is carnival and that's why it's really important that all students remember to bring their costumes and good humour for a festive evening of barrel-vaulting... Use Imagination-fantasy!!

Have a great weekend and winter holidays!

Yours sincerely
