Iceland, land of fire and ice

The trip

Iceland is a special and rough country. Born from lava and ice, it’s is as rugged as the people who live there.

Since the first Vikings settled at Iceland the country have had a exciting and dramatic history To survive on Iceland, you had to be strong. So strength is valued a lot in Icelandic culture.

In the old days, people lifted manhood stones. Today, some of the best powerlifters, crossfitters and strongmen come from this remote country.
When we go to Iceland we will explore this history and become a part of it. We will see the nature and explore a country defined by the fire and ice. We will learn about the history and cuture of this extreme independent people. And we will ourself become strong! We will become fullsterkur!

 

The Lessons

Before the trip we will practice weightlifting, strongman and crossfit, and when we arrive at Iceland we will train at legendary gyms that have breed many champions. We will also learn about Icelandic culture and the common bond with Denmark. And we will train and become stronger.

After a day of hard lifting it’s time to visit the hot springs and let the body recover for the next adventure. We have before visited Thors powergym, home of the mountain, and Crossfit Reykjavik- home by 2 time fittest women in the world Annie Thorsdottir.

We have also visited Jakabol, Massi and many other legendary gyms You will get a chance to work with world class trainers both in Iceland and before we go.

Corona: Restrictions, rules etc.

    Rules at the border for people with vaccination or former COVID-19 infection

    All travellers must pre-register before arriving in Iceland and confirm their departure day, if available.

    Present a certficate of full vaccination, or a certificate of previous infection, at the border. If a certificate is not valid the individual needs to undergo 2 tests and quarantine for 5 days in between.

    Rules for travellers without a network in Iceland: Vaccinated passengers, and those with prior infection of COVID-19, need to present a negative covid-19 test either a PCR or Rapid antigen test. NB. self-tests are not accepted. The test must have been taken within 72 hours before departure on the first leg of the journey. A fine for not presenting a negative COVID-19 test at the border is 100.000 ISK.
