7 August We’re looking forward to seeing the Class of 26/27!
Although the summer holidays are drawing to a close, the school has been buzzing with life all summer, during which we have once again been able to open the doors to Ranum Summer School. We are now looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of 550 pupils and are immensely grateful that so many young people and their parents choose Ranum Efterskole. Together, we share the belief that learning and personal development are best achieved through engagement with other cultures and by interacting with people from all over the world.

Record number of participants at Ranum Summer School
Once again this year, we’ve broken the attendance record for our summer school – fantastic proof that, now more than ever, young people are seeking new friendships, a sense of community and challenges during their summer holidays. It has been a fantastic summer with sunshine and warm weather, which has allowed us to make the most of the school’s many outdoor areas and try our hand at activities such as surfing, sailing and wakeboarding.
Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s summer camps, and not least to the dedicated team who have spent the whole summer teaching and creating exciting experiences for the young people. Please help us spread the word about the summer school so that even more people can experience the magic next year.
The new school year is just round the corner
We are absolutely ready to welcome the 26/27 intake of students and have spent the week preparing our lessons and getting the school ready for a new efterskole year. It’s always a pleasure to welcome a new cohort of students, because we know just how many exciting experiences await you, and how much you’ll grow – both personally and through the communities you’ll become part of.
Many of you are probably feeling a bit nervous, and with good reason. You’ve chosen to embark on an adventure that could take many twists and turns and become exactly what you make of it. That’s one of the things that makes Ranum Efterskole College so special.
Our best advice to you is therefore: throw yourselves into it, keep an open mind, and try as many new things as possible. Seize the opportunity to develop in new directions, challenge yourselves and choose the subjects and trips that can help push your boundaries and spark your curiosity. Be open to everyone at the school – students come here from all over the world and from every corner of Denmark. Make the most of the chance to get to know people you might not normally spend time with, and let yourselves be inspired by the many different communities that emerge at a school with such great diversity.

Dear reader, we hope you’ve had a lovely summer.
It has been an exceptionally busy summer at Ranum Efterskole College. As early as the first week of the holidays, the Dyslexia Association moved in and ran a camp for families affected by dyslexia. In the second week, our international summer school and camps got underway with a record number of pupils. Over the following four weeks, the college was filled with around 300 young people taking language lessons, optional subjects and specialised modules – just like a proper efterskole programme. The students came from all over the world, and the entire summer school was conducted in English. In the final week, we ran the ‘Different Styles’ dance camp with well-known and professional dance instructors. Over the past week, all staff have been working together to prepare for the new efterskole year with 550 young people. We’ve set yet another student record and are grateful that so many young people and their families choose Ranum.
