10 Oct Our first journey is coming to an end. See what we've experienced and learnt.
Over the next few days, all travellers will be back home. We have been travelling in most of Europe. We call this week the profile subject journey. Where the student gets to test what they have learnt during the profile subject period, which ends with the trips below. Some have learnt and tested sailing, navigating, etc. Others have learnt to dive. Some have learnt brand new dance moves. Others have slept in the open air and pushed their limits. Let me list the choices: Media, Football, Diving, Sailing, Surf, Fashion, Padel Tennis, Music, Basketball, Wakeboarding, Yoga, Golf, Gastronomy, Fit for life, Dance and Adventure.
Scroll down to see some of their images. Be sure to check out their Facebook page to see even more. The link is under each journey.
Before we continue, we start where the sailing team ended. With a group video, the students jump into the water, surrounded by the boats they've been sailing all week.
Happy weekend and autumn holidays.

Headmaster's column
Travelling is living. And life is lived extra intensely in the company of 70 teenagers on board 10 sailboats in very limited space.
But sailing is living, and we have sailed in all kinds of weather, up to 16 metres and down to 0. The weather determines the pace and the students have been trained to adapt. We've learnt navigation and how to handle the boats for both engine and sail. On board we do everything together, but we take turns being captain, navigating, cooking, etc.
Travelling builds life skills and community, as well as close friendships. Now all teams and staff are heading home for a well-deserved autumn break. We look forward to seeing everyone back after the holidays.
