Ranum's strongest pupil, surströmming and lots of cosiness

Dear reader,

Open house, REC strongest student competition, cheerleader show and lots of international oral exams have left their mark on Ranum Efterskole College this week.

The open house was held on Saturday and the pupils had prepared exhibitions, films and pictures from their many different profile and cultural subjects. The teachers talked about the academic subjects in the café and in the square both the dancers and the cheerleaders put on a show.

Visitors came from all over Denmark and after a tour and a presentation about the school they could enjoy refreshments from the gastronomy team.

See more pictures from the open house by clicking on the pictures above or here.

Guest teacher in Cheerleading

We have a very talented cheerleading team this year, and on Thursday they were visited by guest instructor Sira Lund from Randers. The team is putting the finishing touches on a really nice REC show that will be shown on their trip to Los Angelos in the USA.

Ridelinien

The riding line and the Tuesday team are enjoying the lovely spring weather. Apparently, it is not only the good buns our baker is hiding. Because on Monday the horses scored apples at our baker Jan (and now also the horses) in Ranumhus.

With the delicious spring weather and apples, it was no problem to bring smiles to the faces of horses and students.

Sailing

Then the boats got bottom paint and the freeboard is polished. Cosiness and hotdogs at the harbour with the sailing team. The boats will be in the water next week, and then there are only 2 weeks until the sailing season starts in earnest. It will kick off with a sailing cruise in Greece, where we have rented 5 large sailboats and planned a cruise out of Athens and the Peloponnese.

Ranum's strongest boy & girl

On Wednesday evening, "Ranum's Strongest Student" was held. A handful of strong boys fought their way through 4 disciplines. The atmosphere was great and we think there will be a rematch soon.

See the boys here and the girls a little further down.

Girls' competition:

Riding and horse fair in Herning

The horse girls are on the annual study trip to the Horse and Rider fair in Herning, and this year Ranum also has a stand at the fair. Among other things, we will be telling you about the new course specialising in riding and the opportunity to work with horses, horsemanship and ride for up to 16 lessons a week. Come by our stand and meet the students!

Thanks to +9000 fans on Facebook

Thursday night we hit 9000 likes on our Facebook page - www.facebook.com/ranumefterskole. Thanks to everyone who has liked us.

Look forward to April when we once again head out into the big wide world. Here you will be able to discover stories, photos and videos that our students and teachers send home. From Cuba to Iceland.

Coming week

There's a lot happening on the cultural front in the week ahead. On Monday, we'll be holding Swedish Day and opening some very spooky and old acid-flowing cans. Chef Henrik Mouritsen guarantees it will be an unforgettable experience for all the gastronomic senses.

The Easter Bunny lands in Ranum on Wednesday

On Wednesday we celebrate the Easter holidays with a giant Easter egg race, where the Easter Bunny will of course pay a visit.

Have a great weekend!

Best regards!
