Welcome to the students<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\nThe first week is over and our new students are settling into life at the school. They have spent the week getting to know each other and settling in - and it has gone beyond all expectations. Homesickness is always there at first for some of the students, but we find that they take care of each other. The students have also spent an evening writing letters to themselves. They can only be opened again at the end of the year. This meant many kilometres on foot - and a lot of laughs and new friendships along the way. It is Denmark's largest - and an important upgrade to our popular diving programme. The compressor was installed the week before school started. Dear reader,
It feels big and it IS big to welcome 542 young people from over 25 countries and all of Denmark. The 22nd class and their parents were installed in houses and rooms in just 1\u00bd hours before we held a big welcome assembly on the lawn in front of the main building. The new students sat together at the front of the red carpet and joined in with speeches and singing. My speech this year was focussed on the freedom of a 1TP5 year, both to participate and contribute, and the freedom to be yourself. In other words. an encouragement to students not to strive upwards in student groups, but to look to the sides and find the friends who want you - just as you are and want to be. It may be a slightly controversial message, but it creates a strong foundation for friendships and a good 1TP5Year.
The intro week has been fantastic, and even though it's been hot and we've tired the students, there's enough energy for a hello and a chat all over the school. It's great and it's going to be a fantastic efterskole\u00e5r and team!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It feels big and it IS big to welcome 542 young people from over 25 countries and all of Denmark. The 22nd class and their parents were installed in houses and rooms in just 1\u00bd hours before we held a big welcome assembly on the lawn in front of the main building. The new students sat together at the front of the red carpet and joined in with speeches and singing. My speech this year was focussed on the freedom of a 1TP5 year, both to participate and contribute, and the freedom to be yourself. It feels big and it IS big to welcome 542 young people from over 25 countries and all of Denmark. The 22nd class and their parents were installed in houses and rooms in just 1\u00bd hours before we held a big welcome assembly on the lawn in front of the main building. The new students sat together at the front of the red carpet and joined in with speeches and singing. My speech this year was focussed on the freedom of a 1TP5 year, both to participate and contribute, and the freedom to be yourself. In other words. an encouragement to students not to strive upwards in student groups, but to look to the sides and find the friends who want you - just as you are and want to be. It may be a slightly controversial message, but it creates a strong foundation for friendships and a good 1TP5Year.
The intro week has been fantastic, and even though it's been hot and we've tired the students, there's enough energy for a hello and a chat all over the school. It's great and it's going to be a fantastic efterskole\u00e5r and team!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
