We have been extremely busy this week. The weekend included both Family Day and New Pupils' Day, and on Monday we had the General Assembly in the School Circle. Throughout the week, the students have been preparing their presentations for the oral exams, and the teachers have been busy organising presentations, questions and preparing their examiner tasks. On Thursday, we broke all routines and participated in a fantastic Video and Photo Day, with drones in the air and 2 camera teams on the ground. The students talked about their 1TP5Year and showed both the academic teaching and the profile subjects. A large group of pupils have spent their free time preparing a carnival parade in Aalborg. The pupils participating in the carnival are released by efterskolen for the weekend and thus under the responsibility of their parents, but they are fully engaged in their efterskole community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family weekends<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

More than 250 parents and siblings found their way to the second Family Day of the year. We started Friday evening with Tour de Ranum and Bingo, as well as a parents' caf\u00e9. And on Saturday we continued with morning exercise in the schoolyard, evaluation workshop of the school year, and presentations of the pupils' 3rd profile subject trips. The day ended with lots of tastings of profile subjects and what was going on in both the creative workshops, wakeboard, canoes and kayaks, as well as sailing at R\u00f8nbjerg harbour. Konditori provided beautiful cakes for the closing coffee and fortunately the weather was with us almost all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New students' day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We thank all parents, future and current Ranum Efterskole students for a wonderful day! We ate more than 1600 sausages, 1200 sliders (mini burgers), 5 meters of pretzels and drank about 190 liters of coffee. There are still a few places available for the 16-17 school year, so if you know someone who is interested in a magical afterschool year, please pass the message on. Video day with all equipment & activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Roller hockey, Strongman stuff, Street performance, Cinema, Design, Music, Mandarin, Maths, Physics 'Active', Dance, Climbing, Hardball, Water performance, Adventure, Sailing, Diving, Horse riding, Cheerleading and Beach fun were among the more than 20 different activities we had on the programme for the film day, which was immortalised through drones, TV production, own film recordings, handheld steadycam, gopro etc. So I wonder if there will be an opportunity to show something extra exciting in the near future - Keep an eye on our youtube channel<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Football match between Ranum and Himmerlands Ungdomsskole<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A football match was played between our own football teams (girls and boys) against Himmerlands Ungdomsskole. Here we can tell that football is not just for the crazy but helps to bridge communities and interests that might not at first sight come together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next week, the oral exams are in full swing and in between there are a wide range of activities and help to prepare for the exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
