Mexico \u2013 a country brimming with culture, traditions and flavours<\/b><\/div>\n
During the trip, the pupils will explore the Yucat\u00e1n Peninsula on the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean. We will be visiting five different towns: Canc\u00fan, Cozumel, Valladolid and M\u00e9rida.<\/div>\n

When we get to M\u00e9rida, we\u2019ll be staying with various host families who are connected to the school in one way or another.<\/div>\n
As well as that, we\u2019ll be visiting lots of historical sites, including the Mayan temple at the archaeological site of Chich\u00e9n Itz\u00e1, which has been named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World; we\u2019ll be swimming in cenotes and much, much more.<\/div>\n

The purpose of the trip is to develop, push personal boundaries and form you through experiences of another culture.<\/div>\n

It\u2019s a new trip, but not the first time Ranum Efterskole College has travelled to Mexico, so the students will also have the chance to suggest places they think are worth visiting on the trip.<\/div>\n

The lessons\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n
As part of their preparations for the trip and for encountering a different culture, pupils are to explore various topics relating to Mexican culture, traditions, religion, climate challenges, geography and history. In this context, pupils must prepare a presentation on a specific topic, which they will then present to the other pupils in the group.<\/div>\n
