We will look at Portugal's culture, history and economy. We will visit at least one of the major cities, but will also learn about life in the countryside or on the coast.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">Culture and history: External - Can you get around Portugal's history of colonialism?\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">Surfing: stay a few days at a camp on the Algarve coast - a surf camp, need we say more? <\/span><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\">\ud83d\ude09<\/span><span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><b><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(48, 48, 48)\">The lessons\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\">The starting point of the course will be Portugal's history, colonialism and its current status in relation to its former colonies, but equally important in relation to the EU.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\">The next important element of teaching is that students should be active co-creators of the subject and the journey. They will help to prioritise the studies and activities to be carried out in Denmark and Portugal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\">We will shape the journey and make contact with one or more schools and hopefully get a homestay going.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\">We will also verify the claim that the Portuguese way of life differs from the Danish way of life. This concerns everything from family life, norms and traditions, eating habits, schooling, and not least leisure life.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\" data-ogsb=\"white\"><span class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" data-ogsc=\"rgb(66, 66, 66)\">Of course we will do studies with both \"biolog-\" and \"social science\" lenses, so that we have a comparable basis for studying nature in Portugal, both on land and at sea.
