{"id":29905,"date":"2021-11-22T11:58:28","date_gmt":"2021-11-22T10:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ranumefterskole.dk\/?post_type=portfolio_page&#038;p=29905"},"modified":"2022-11-09T12:13:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-09T11:13:56","slug":"puerto-rico","status":"publish","type":"portfolio_page","link":"https:\/\/www.ranumefterskole.dk\/en\/portfolio_page\/puerto-rico\/","title":{"rendered":"Puerto Rico"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #4dbab2;\"><strong>Culture Subject Trip to Puerto Rico<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span>We travel to Puerto Rico, where we will gain insight into cultural differences and similarities.<\/span><br \/>\nWe will also see how human behaviour and the amazing forces of nature affect life on this unique island - both on land and in the sea.<\/p>\n<h2>The trip<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>School visits - where we present, of course - in English<\/li>\n<li>Rainforest tour - El Yunque<\/li>\n<li>Island hop to Culebra\/Mona - Snorkeling - With possible surprise<\/li>\n<li>Experience bioluminescent organisms - in the Bio bay<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity for surfing\/diving<\/li>\n<li>Culture and history in Old Town San Juan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>The lessons<\/h2>\n<div>The starting point of the course will be the history of Puerto Rico, colonialism and the island's current status in relation to the United States.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The next important element of teaching is that students should be active co-creators of the subject and the journey. They will help to prioritise the studies and activities to be carried out in Denmark and Puerto Rico.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We will also verify the claim that Puerto Rican lifestyles differ from Danish lifestyles.
