The school year is divided into 4 periods with 3 trips.
\nEach profile and culture course concludes with a journey of 4-14 days.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>

The first profile subject is chosen before the student starts the school year. In the profile subject, the student experiences setting both common and personal goals, for example, the sailors learn to navigate and sail a boat in the Mediterranean. The music team practices the Beatles and travels to Liverpool. The divers go deep in Egypt and get a PADI licence.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Culture Subjects

The cultural trips are chosen in September through a democratic process and can be based on profile subjects such as Nepal High Trek or Coral Restoration. They focus on themes such as nature, sports, religion and history and end with a trip where students meet locals and work with the UN Sustainable Development Goals in a project. Cultural subjects and travelling are the best classroom in the world!<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The third period focuses on personal education and development by combining both cultural subjects and profile subjects. Students are now experienced in shaping profile subjects and highly engaged in creating new subjects. The goal for the last profile subject period does not have to be far out in the world, we prioritise that students are also involved in assessing travel destinations in terms of sustainability and economy, etc. but learning goals and safety come before distance. The final trip typically lasts 5-8 days.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>

After Profile Subject Period 2, students begin the test period, where the international tests precede the Danish tests. In May and June, preparation is combined with mini-profile subjects, activity subjects and events that the students themselves help plan. The schedule is adjusted to allow time for both exams and efterskoleliv, and in the final week the end of the programme is celebrated with excursions, a gala party and graduation.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>
