Mountain life in Canada

We will be driving through the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia and visit towns where the mountain life is a natural part of the everyday.

The goal is to experience a different kind of nature and culture than we are used to. The mountains in Canada make out a big part of the country and the inhabitants have to live with this - for better or for worse. We will be driving through the Rocky Mountains in British Columbia and visit towns where the mountain life is a natural part of the everyday. We will get involved in the work and the life that comes with living in the mountains, e.g. tourism, sports, avalanche/snow security, POW (Protect Our Winters), school visits and not least 2 different homestays in Cranbrook and Whistler.

The trip

Start in Calgary and end destination in Vancouver (the Pacific Ocean).

During the trip we will be travelling through Banff, Radium Hot Springs, Penticton, Kicking Horse, Cranbrook, Lake Louise and Whistler. Here, the students will have a say in what we are going to experience in each place.
